 Whistler Winter Activities

There's nothing quite like winter in Whistler. And there's no better place to spend your winter vacation than Whistler Creekside. All three of our hotels are located at the base of Whistler Creekside Gondola, providing instant access to the hill.

While skiing may be Whistler's calling card, today's visitors can choose from a variety of winter activities depending on their spirit of adventure. Curl up in a blanket and enjoy the sights during an intimate horse drawn sleigh ride or perhaps kick up the pace with a dogsled ride at nearby Cougar Mountain. Embrace your Canadian spirit by taking a skate at Meadow Park Recreation Centre or better yet grab the blades and check out one of the area's frozen lakes.

Ziptrek Whistler is fast becoming one of the most popular winter activities. Sail high along the tree lines among snow covered branches and amazing mountain views. If heights aren't quite your thing why not stay on the ground and enjoy some good old fashioned tobogganing and its upscale cousin, The Coca Cola Tube Park.

When you stay in Whistler during the winter there's no shortage of fun activities to choose from.

Olympics Winter Sports Legacy

Callaghan CC Skiing SmlFollowing the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler the Village was left with a number of cool facilities to preserve. The Whistler Sliding Centre offers visitors the opportunity to speed down an Olympic regulated bobsled track. Pair up with an experienced driver who will take you down the course at whatever speed you feel most comfortable.

One of the most scenic places to visit during your stay is Whistler Olympic Park. The Nordic sport centre was the home to cross country skiing and ski-jumping events during the Olympics. This amazing facility is located just outside of Whistler it what seems like another world. Whistler Olympic Park provides 57 KM of groomed cross country tracks, as well as wide open areas for snow shoeing and exploration. The turn-off for Olympic Park is 9KM south of Whistler, and yet another 10KM down a road. While the location is a bit off the beaten track, unbelievable views, un-touched scenery and the quietness of the place make it a must visit for nature lovers. Equipment rental is available on site.
