PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola brings Whistler & Blackcomb Together
The PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is Whistler's world record breaking gondola that links both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain together. The lift takes an amazing 11 minutes and spans a 4.4-kilometre crossing between both peaks.
The new gondola is the longest continuous lift system in the world. The gondola cost $50 million dollars and during peak season can move 4,000 people an hour in its 28 person cabins. The engineering marvel opened in 2008 and has quickly become the most talked about tourist destination in town. Luckily the PEAK 2 PEAK is included in your lift ticket and can be accessed any time during mountain operation.
Getting to the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola
The best way to access the PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola is through the Whistler Village Gondola or through the chairlifts, Emerald, Red, Franz's, and Harmony lifts plus the alpine T-bars. On Blackcomb access can be done through Solar Coaster, Catskinner, Jersey Cream and 7th Heaven lifts.
