It’s been 10 years since Whistler hosted the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and it’s time to celebrate! Throughout February and March there are a number of great tribute events and festivities where everyone is invited to celebrate the anniversary of the Winter Olympic Games.

During most of February there’s different Olympic exhibits and displays going on throughout Whistler. From photos and videos to medals and equipment, each exhibit is tailored to display the history of the 2010 Olympics in Whistler.

Whistler Municipal Hall

Head over to the Municipal Hall to check out the medals used in the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Whistler Museum

Discover the 50-year journey that Whistler had trying to earn a host spot for the Winter Olympics. Which, after 6 separate bids, ended up as the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. 

Stop by the Whistler Museum & Archives to learn the story and view equipment used by local Olympians. Plus you have a chance to take your picture holding a real Olympic torch!

2010 Winter Games Replay and Photo Display

Whistler Public Library

Take a trip back to 2010 through footage and photos at the Whistler Public Library. Watch Team Canada participation highlights and relive the historic moment with a gallery of photos taken during the 2010 games.

Family Après: Olympic Games Edition & Reunion 

Whistler Olympic Plaza | 3 - 6 PM

Gather with family and friends for special editions of Family Après at the Whistler Olympic Plaza on Mondays & Wednesday until mid-March. Family Après will feature sports demos, athlete visits, and other surprises!

Plus, on February 19th & March 16th there will be reunion parties for all the volunteers, torchbearers, staff and athletes. Everybodies welcome to come out and enjoy snacks, entertainment, and catching up with old friends.
