Whistler’s Liveliest Bars
It’s true that people come from all over the world to ski and bike in the incredible Coast Mountains that surround Whistler. But it’s also well known that Whistler has some of the best nightlife in all of Canada. From epic apres, tasty craft beers and incredible live music, it’s easy to see why Whistler is bustling well into the wee hours.
With so many options out there keep this guide in mind when you hit the tiles!
Here in Whistler, the party can start early! So don’t be surprised to see patios fill up with the apres crowd from as early as 1 pm.
Dusty’s Bar & Grill
Whistler’s original bar and still one of the local’s favourites. If you want to have a classic Canadian ski-town experience, you must come to Dusty’s. The building is a large wooden cabin that just oozes charm and has been the venue for countless, legendary Whistler nights.

You can ski or bike right to the door and treat yourself to one of Whistler’s best Caesars. Keep an eye out for their events too! Dusty’s is home to the Canadian BBQ Championships and lots of exciting live bands play here regularly.
The Garibaldi Lift Company
The Garibaldi Lift Company, or The GLC as it’s known to locals, is one of the many bars found directly at the base of Whistler mountain. In fact, it’s actually in the same building as the Whistler Village Gondola. The GLC is famous for its patio and people watching. You get a birdseye view of the Village Stroll and people coming off the mountain.

When the sun goes down, The GLC turns into a music venue that’s hard to beat. Old-School Hip-Hop night is an absolute must for any music fan. The GLC has also hosted bands like Electric Six, SkiiTour, Lazy Ghost and Ocean Alley.
The Longhorn Saloon
The most infamous of all the bars in Whistler! This is the place to come and let your hair down, no matter the time of day. During the NFL Playoff season, it’s not uncommon to see people lining up for the bar to open in the morning. During the daytime, the patio is the place to be. Order one of their famous ‘bulldogs’. This drink is a large margarita with an upturned Corona in it. Be prepared though, this place is known for people dancing on the tables!

The party always continues right into the night at The Longhorn. With famous DJ’s playing on the patio, champagne spray guns and the biggest sporting events live on TV, it’s no wonder why this bar is one of Whistler’s busiest.
The Dubh Linn Gate
If you love live music, you simply must visit The Dubh Linn Gate. During peak season they have three live sets per day! Ruckus Deluxe is the house band here. They win the adoration of fans with their fantastic song choices, original hits and probably the best version of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ that you’re ever likely to hear.

The Dubh Linn Gate also has one of Whistler’s best beer choices. With beer taps as far as the eye can see, you know you’ll find a beer that you love. There are beers imported from Ireland (yes their Guinness comes from Dublin!), local craft beers and seasonal rotators.
Tapley’s Neighbourhood Pub
Tapley’s is a fantastic pub for an informal pint while watching the game. This pub is one for the sports fans as they show almost every UFC fight, NFL, EPL and NBA game with the sound on! They stock lots of local beers, so you’ll really live like a local when you spend a night here!

If you’re in town on a Sunday night, pop into Tapley’s for some electric live music. These nights can get pretty wild! Rather than having a stage, the bands at Tapley's actually play on the bar floor with the band and dancefloor often merging into one big musical mess! There’s also a darts board and a foosball table here for even more fun.
