Discover Whistler’s PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola
One of Whistler’s must-do activities summer activities is a sightseeing trip on the epic PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola. Opening May 26, 2018 for it’s summer season, the PEAK 2 PEAK links Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains together over the longest unsupported lift span in the world at 3.024 km (1.88 mi). The PEAK 2 PEAK isn’t only long, it’s the highest lift of its kind with an elevation of 436 metres (1,427 ft).
If you’ve ever wanted a birds eye view of Whistler Village or a 360-degree perspective of the surrounding mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, and forests than the PEAK 2 PEAK is for you. There’s also a special gondola with a glass-bottom that gives you a stunning perspective of the forest below you.
Not only does the PEAK 2 PEAK provide guests with spectacular views of Whistler’s scenery, it fascinates guests who watch the incredible engineering and machinery in action and learn about the record-breaking lift.
The PEAK 2 PEAK allows you to experience both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain in one day and gives you access to a bunch of mountain-top activities, including; dining above the clouds, visiting the Samsung Alpine Theatre, walking or running over 50 kms of interpretive hiking trails, and so much more.
