Just under 1 km, the run goes through Whistler Village and is open to children of all ages, but is primarily aimed at children aged 5 to 9. The event is non-competitive and parents may run with their kids if that makes the child more comfortable. Kids Run has all the bells and whistles of a big run, with distance markers, a big crowd, finishers awards, post run snacks, and a special race kit designed just for children.
