Snow School at Whistler Creekside
Whistler Blackcomb is not only home to world class skiing but also world class instruction. At the Whistler Blackcomb Snow School, first timers become beginners, and advanced skiers become experts.
How Snow School Builds Skills
Because Whistler attracts some of the best skiers and snowboarders from around the world we also attract many of the best teachers. Students benefit from learning from the best in the business while honing their skills on the vast terrain both mountains offer. Because there's so much terrain to work with teachers can create an environment that best suits each individual skier/boarder. For instance if you’re a first-timer, teachers can spend time with you in the ski school learners area. Here no one can bother you as you get the one on one instruction you need. However, if you’re a more advanced skier/rider your instructor can push your limits by bringing you to newer challenging runs.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are for people who really want to advance quickly in their development with one on one instruction. Privates are available for kids, adults and teens. During your one-on-one instruction, the teacher can really focus in on what needs to be developed and work with you to improve your technique.
Adult Lessons
There are several options for adult lessons including Super Group (3 people), Group Lessons, multi-day camps and, of course, Private Lessons.
Kids & Youth Lessons
Whistler Kids provides lessons for children as young as 3 years old and as old as 18. Snow School is located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain and provides a safe, monitored area for kids of all ages to learn to ski or board.
The instructors at Kids Snow School are known for their patience and ability to teach younger students. Kids programs are divided into three age categories, three to four-year-olds, five and six-year-olds and seven to twelve-year-olds.
For those advanced youth skiers and boarders (13 - 18 years) they can take part in the Park Freeride Group Lessons (maximum of three students) and Ride Tribe Daily Ski Programs.
Adaptive Lessons
Whistler Blackcomb working with The Whistler Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Program offers guests with special needs opportunities to fully participate in snow sports. Certified instructors, guides, and assistants help those with both physical and cognitive disabilities access the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb.
Make sure to pre-book your seat in Snow School ahead of time to ensure entry into your chosen program.
