Downhill Mountain Biking Access in Whistler Creekside
Exciting news bike fans, mountain bikers can now gain access the Whistler Bike Park via the Whistler Creekside Gondola! That means when you stay at any three of the Lodging Ovations properties, you're steps away from upload to the Whistler Bike Park.
Along with direct access to the Bike Park guests can now access the Whistler Creekside bike trails without pedalling up. The Whistler Bike Park offers a total of 4,946 feet or 1,507 metres of lift-serviced downhill mountain bike trails. The park offers something for every level of rider, including gentle cruisers, tight and twisty single track, steep rock faces, gnarly root lines, drop offs and much more. There is also a jump park, drop-off park, and the Boneyard Slopestyle Park.
The trails running down the Creekside section of the Whistler Bike Park (Creek Zone) are considered advanced to expert level, however, the Creekside Gondola provides access to gentler trials including the Fitz and Garbanzo Zones via Expressway, Lower Freight Train, and No Joke Trails. Bikers looking to return to Creekside from the Whistler Bike Park can do so via Dusty’s Downhill, which is an expert level route that descends Franz’s ski trail and the existing fire road network on the south side of Whistler Mountain. “BC’s Trail” (Black Diamond) is accessible via the fire road as well. Riders can also download via the Creekside Gondola anytime during operational hours.
The Whistler Creekside Gondola runs from 10 AM to 5 PM daily during the Whistler biking season. During the Fall months, the Creekside Gondola only runs on weekends. Creekside guests can purchase Bike Park passes from CAN-SKI, which also offer bike rentals, repairs and merchandise.
Whistler Creekside Expansion
The latest chapter in the on-going development of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park begins with the opening of the Creekside Gondola to mountain bikers.
