Best Places to Après in Whistler Creekside

Whistler Apres

Fun fact, the French word Après, simply means "after" and is used when talking about unwinding after a day on the slopes. In Whistler, however, you don't have to ski to enjoy Après. Instead, Après can be enjoyed after any activity including shopping, a day at the spa or just lounging around the hotel.

Après in Whistler Creekside is as old as Whistler Mountain itself. Before the luxury resorts and world-class shopping and restaurants, Whistler was a tiny hidden ski town. The first Après spot was thrown together by grouping a couple of tables and chairs outside of a construction trailer. This is how the first Whistler Après venue was born. It's name? Dusty's.

Well, some 40 years later Dusty's bar is still here, albeit in a much swankier home. Located right at the base of the Creekside Gondola this ski-in-ski-out bar is one of Whistler's premier patio spaces. Inside this space opens up into a spacious post and beam country style bar. Dusty's is one of the best places in Whistler to après after a long day on the hill or lounging around Creekside.

During the first week of every August Dusty's transforms into BBQ headquarters for the Canadian National BBQ Championships. Patrons get the chance to hang out in the grounds and taste a wide variety of BBQ creations.
